Comparison of Retention and Marginal Discoloration of Self-Etch and Total-Etch Adhesives before Pit and Fissure Sealant Application on Permanent Second Molars in Pediatric Patients. A 1-year follow-up longitudinal study

Objective: To compare the retention and marginal discoloration of Self-etch Total Etch Adhesive during Pit Fissure Sealant application at 1 month, 3 months, 6 12 months. Materials methods: 30 school-going children received sealants in all four permanent second molars, carried out Department Pedodontics Preventive Dentistry. The fully erupted molars were randomly allocated into groups: group A (self-etch), B (Total etch), C (control group). According to split mouth design, each patient sealant molar with self-etch one arch total-etch other arch; contra-lateral kept control group. Results: No statistically significant difference was found microleakage fissure placed on occlusal surfaces following use an SE bonding agent traditional TE adhesive after Conclusion: When put before sealant, same amount or happened teeth as when sealant.
